Over the past two years Fenêtreproject have been developing a practice that evaluates and reorganizes familiar or culturally recognizable sources. These sources include mass-produced objects and cultural products including art objects. Through the reorganization of these elements they challenge pre-inscribed narratives, creating a new order that runs in parallel to an existing one. This method allows structures to take on lateral and speculative functions whilst retaining their formal familiarity. This new organization sheds light on the arbitrary construction of monolithic systems of information and knowledge.

Fenêtreproject is a collective made up of Dustin Cauchi & Francesca Mangion.

Dustin Cauchi is a visual artist and filmmaker with an academic background in Philosophy and Theatre Studies. Since 2007 his work has been exhibited internationally in group shows and solo exhibitions including Viafarini DOCVA, Milan, National Museum of Arts, Reykjavik, National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta, Museo Universitario del Chopo, Mexico City & Galerie Joseph Tang, Paris. His work has been featured in numerous publications including a 2013 monograph on his film works published by MOUSSE, Milan.

Francesca Mangion is an independent curator, artist and writer with an academic background in contemporary and modern theory. Since 2014 she is part of collaborative duo Fenêtreproject with Dustin Cauchi. She writes regularly for AQNB and The Art Markets. Her writing has also appeared in select Mousse publications and undo.net. In 2015 she co-founded and is curator at La Plage, a project space based in Paris. Forthcoming in 2017 a curatorial project at ZKM Karlsruhe that will be part of the group exhibition, Hybrid Layers.
